For the Coral Creek and Job Valley Trail Ride

The staging area will be the base camp for McKenzie Trails West at Cline River.

On the start date of your ride, meet at the base camp by 8:00 am.
If you drive to the site, parking is available.
The base camp is located on the David Thompson Highway (highway 11) between Nordegg and Saskatchewan Crossing. In Google Maps, search for McKenzie Trails West, or Cline River.

If you need shuttle services, we can arrange that for you as follows:

On the day before your ride start date, pickup is at the Calgary airport at 3:oo pm
The shuttle will take you from the Calgary airport to a hotel of your choice in the town of Rocky Mountain House (see information below on hotels).
On the start date of your ride, the shuttle will pick up at your hotel at 6:45 am and take you to the base camp for McKenzie Trails West.
On the last date of your ride, the shuttle will take you from the base camp for McKenzie Trails West to a hotel of your choice in the town of Rocky Mountain House. The next morning, the shuttle will take you to the Calgary airport for drop off at 11 am.
Cost for this service is $210 (GST included). You must prearrange this service with Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies in advance.
The cost excludes the hotel in the town of Rocky Mountain House. You must book and pay for your hotel separately.

Challenging, rustic, and rewarding!

Just as our photographs couldn’t capture the majesty of the mountains through which we rode, it’s impossible to adequately describe the TRCR experience in a “snapshot” review. In July of 2017, after much anticipation, I rode with my two sisters on a six-day adventure. The trip exceeded my expectations in every way. Once my initial anxiety over riding again was quelled, I was free to enjoy vistas only accessible by hiking or on horseback: wildflower-rich prairies, breathtaking peaks, glacial tarns, ever-present wildlife, and awe-inspiring vantage points.
