Day One (Monday)
The staging area will be the Acclaim Hotel in Calgary (see Travel and Accommodation for details and directions). Meet there before 8:00 am on your ride start date. Remember to have a hearty breakfast before you arrive.
The bus will depart at 8:00 am sharp and proceed south out of the city and into the countryside. There will be a stop and guided tour at a historic site (the site is TBD). The bus will continue down the Cowboy Trail, and stop in the hamlet of Twin Butte for lunch. Finally, you will arrive at Alpine Stables in Waterton Lakes National Park for a 2 hour ride.
After the ride, you will taken to the camp to enjoy a hearty meal and settle in for the night.
Days Two to Four (Tuesday to Thursday)
Each day starts with a hearty hot breakfast followed by a full day ride in Waterton Lakes National Park. You will enjoy your packed lunch at a highlight, lake or lookout, on the trail. Back in camp, you will enjoy a 3-course dinner followed by a campfire before retiring for the evening.
Day Five (Friday)
There will be 4 to 5 hour ride that morning, including a stop for your trail lunch. At about 2 pm, a bus will transport you back to the Acclaim Hotel in Calgary for your trip home.
NOTE #1: Helmets are mandatory for all riders.
NOTE #2: Everyone is encouraged to take the provided transportation between Calgary and Waterton. However, we do realize that driving to the ranch is more convenient for some people, for example riders who are driving up into Canada from the south. If this applies to you, please let us know and we will provide directions.
